As Head of PR, I had my hand in a few things such as newsletter quality assurance. and event planning. However, my largest contributions were planning and executing the UT Marketplace tabling event and organzing and designing the LDL Toolkit.
UT Marketplace
Firstly, I planned and ran one our largest tabling events of the year, UT Marketplace. We had roughly over 300 student visit our table, and this event alone increased our Instagram followers by roughly 300 people. Prior to the event I created a run of show and volunteer sign up to ensure we had coverage for the entire event. Additionally, I coordinated with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to do a combined table that promoted Longhorns Don't Litter and EHS presence on campus. The event had a quick turnaround from our commitment to table to the actual event, so my team and I were able to work on a crunched schedule and still find success. I stayed throughout the entire event and helped other LDL members ask trivia questions and increase campus awareness of Waller Creek, our local watershed.
Longhorns Don't Litter Toolkit
The largest contribution O made outside of being the head of PR was creating the Longhorns Don't Litter (LDL) Toolkit. The Purpose of the toolkit is to provide future generations of LDL a framework on how LDL functions as a brand, organization, and partner with EHS. The toolkit has over 80 pages worth of information. While I did not write all of the components in this comprehensive document, I did reach out to people within LDL for written portions of their work. For example, the introduction and elevator speech was written by Sophie Snapp and then edited by me. After receiving all the written content, I organized the document and designed it to fit thematically with our established branding.
